Lukas Sigl

Lukas Sigl is an Application Scientist for Quantum Technologies at Zurich Instruments, based in Munich. Trained as an experimental physicist, he spent his early career exploring two-dimensional semiconductors and the phase diagram of excitons. He later helped develop an industry-focused educational program on quantum technologies. At Zurich Instruments, Lukas enjoys working with partners on a variety of research collaboration projects, and turning new ideas into hands-on experiments on real qubits. Outside work, you’ll find him at the gym, baking sourdough bread, or playing beach volleyball. And if you ever fancy a game of Schafkopfen (the Bavarian card game), he’s usually up for a round.
