Zurich Instruments takes part in an international project

The DIMID Project (Development of Innovative Microfluidic Impedance Based Device for Multi-parametric Cell Analysis) is aiming realize a simple, non-invasive method for counting, identifying and monitoring cellular functions. Zurich Instruments, known for its innovative instruments, will join forces with leading SMEs and educational institutions from the UK, Ireland, Spain and Italy for this EU-funded project.

This collaboration will result in development of a high-end solution which will enable a whole new range of cell analyses and diagnostic methods. This includes real-time cell culture analysis, blood counting and analysis, measurement of leukocytes, erythrocytes and platelets, identification of rare cells like tumour cells and stem cells and measurement of endothelial microparticles, parasites in blood cells, etc.
