Zurich Instruments Student Travel Grants 2016

The community of young researchers using our lock-in amplifiers continues to grow and we are committed to supporting them in their further development and scientific endeavors.

After the positive response to our first call for submissions for the Zurich Instruments Student Travel Grants 2015, we have decided to open the competition this year again.

3 PhD students will be awarded a grant of 1’500 Swiss Francs to travel to one of the following conferences: SPIE Optics + Photonics 2016, MRS Fall Meeting 2016, Photonics West 2017, APS Spring Meeting 2017, JSAP Spring Meeting 2017, DPG Jahrestagung 2017, CLEO 2017.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are a PhD student
  • Your paper explicitly mentions one of Zurich Instruments’ products
  • Your submission falls into one of these categories:
    1. a) reviewed paper published between January 1, 2015 - May 31, 2016
    2. b) PhD thesis published or defended between January 1, 2015 - May 31, 2016
    3. c) draft paper uploaded to arxiv.org or other public archive between January 1, 2015 - May 31, 2016

If you meet these criteria, send us a copy of the paper along with your 1-page CV by July 15, 2016.

Winners of the grant will be acknowledged in our newsletter and meet Zurich Instruments’ team at the conference.
