UHF-MF upgrade and compatibility
- Field-upgradeable option
- Compatible with all other UHF options
With the UHF-MF option installed on a UHF instrument, it is possible to simultaneously analyze a signal at 8 arbitrary frequencies. Thanks to the independent configuration for each demodulator, the user can choose between the harmonic frequency of another demodulator and arbitrary frequency analysis. This feature aims at replacing a stack of lock-in amplifiers for a simpler laboratory setup and overall reduced costs.
The option includes 6 additional oscillators as well as the Oscillator Selector, providing the flexibility to connect any oscillator to any demodulator. With the Output Adder, the UHF-MF option enables free linear combination of all 8 sinusoid signals on the two signal outputs. When the option is not installed, oscillator 1 (2) is permanently wired to demodulators 1-4 (5-8), and each signal output can generate a single oscillator signal or a single harmonic.
