For our Research and Development team in Zurich we are looking for a

Hardware Test Engineer (80 - 100%)

You are fascinated by measurement devices that provide 160dB signal-to-noise ratios and you have talent in contributing to a team all focused on getting things up and running? This is your chance for working inside a high-quality R&D team striving for the best-in-class measurement software and hardware solutions.

In this position you will be responsible for

  • Development and maintenance of automated calibration and test systems for Zurich Instruments products, including specification, conception, implementation, and documentation
  • Specifying built-in test functionalities of Zurich Instruments products (design for testability)
  • Failure analysis and reporting as well as repair of instruments
  • Conducting qualification testing

Your Profile

Are you a result-oriented, intrinsically motivated person who loves to tackle challenges in a cooperative fashion? Do you feel inspired to work in a multicultural, high-tech environment? Your qualifications include

  • MSc or BSc in Electrical engineering or in a related field with profound programming knowledge
  • Experienced in any of the programming languages Python, Matlab, or C/C++
  • Knowledge of test and measurement techniques
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics
  • Team player, enjoying close collaboration with other Hardware-, Firmware/HDL-, Software- and Production team members
  • Being a computer geek is a plus
  • Quality oriented
  • Good analytical skills and endurance in solving technical issues and a passion for testing
  • Fluent in English, German is a nice to have
