The First European Quantum Computer in the Cloud

Zurich Instruments is thrilled to announce its contribution to Quantum Inspire, a unique quantum computing platform developed by QuTech, the advanced research center for quantum computing and quantum internet founded by TU Delft and TNO.

The goal of Quantum Inspire is to provide broad access to a full-stack quantum computing system so that users can gain insights into this technology and perform quantum computations. Quantum Inspire is special because it is Europe's first full-stack prototype platform for quantum computation in the cloud, as well as the world's first quantum computer bringing online two highly promising quantum computing platforms: superconducting transmon qubits and spin qubits in silicon. Two programmable quantum processors based on these technologies are at the core of Quantum Inspire's backend. The real-time electronics for the superconducting and semiconducting systems feature Zurich Instruments' UHFQA Quantum Analyzer and HDAWG multi-channel Arbitrary Waveform Generator.

In the words of Dr. Sadik Hafizovic, CEO of Zurich Instruments: "This is quantum engineering at its finest: Quantum Inspire combines quantum hardware, software and proven Zurich Instruments' electronics to form a system that is more than the sum of its parts. We are happy to contribute to this full-stack quantum computing platform."
