Job Opening: Customer Support Japan / Asia
You have a solid technical background, have a Japanese cultural background, and like to assist customers in their purchase decision. You feel comfortable in the management of small projects, possess good communication skills, and have the ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with stakeholders worldwide, in particular Japan.
You work as part of the marketing and sales team. Your activities focus on the pre-sales and after-sales support. Your main tasks include the management of sales opportunities and customer support activities together with dealers located in end-customer markets. You acquire new contacts by means of conferences and advertising, and you identify and develop customer needs. Later you support customers in both academia and industry with training, application support, and other services. Your perfect knowledge of the Japanese language is the enabler to overcome cultural barriers. Regular travel to Japan will include visits to end customers and strengthen the partner relationships.

- Qualification:
- Evidence of experience in technical sales and/or scientific laboratory, or alternatively BSc of MSc in engineering or comparable.
- Languages:
- Fluent in Japanese and English, German or other languages are nice to have.
- Required knowledge:
- Instrumentation, measurement techniques, sales management, project management, programming languages as a plus (LabVIEW, MATLAB, C, Python).
